April 21 2022 - The lab interviewed a prospective graduate student for the incoming class of 2040.

April 18 2022 - The lab welcomes our newest rotation student, Tamanna!

Tamanna graduate with a BS in Chemistry and Statistics from Duke University. She’s excited to learn molecular biology from the lab.

March 25, 2022 - Rotation students Pat and Brie presented the lab’s first posters at the BMB Friday Research Discussion (FRD). Their western blots were the talk of the poster session!

March 19, 2022 - United Negro College Fund (UNCF) Fundraiser

Dr. Taabazuing attended the 10th Anniversary of the Mayor’s Masked Ball. This fundraising event helps raise money for scholarships to support traditionally underserved students. In 2021, they awarded scholarships in excess of $2.5 million. The Taabazuing lab is funded by the UNCF - Dr. Taabazuing is an Earnest E. Just Early Career Investigator.

 

February 15 2022 - The lab’s first western blot!

Welcome Brie and Pat - the first rotation students! Brie (top left) received her BS in Chemistry from Farleigh Dickson College and Pat (top right) received his BA in Chemistry/Biochemistry from College of the Holy Cross. We are excited to have them join the team!

Dr. Taabazuing presents his research for the translational immunology talks section during BlackInImmuno week 2021.

May 2021

Dr. Taabazuing won the prestigious 2021 Tri-Institutional (Tri-I) Breakout Award for Junior Investigators. He gave a seminar at the 2021 commencement and reflected on his journey in science.

After a tough 2020 year in which Dr. Taabazuing participated in helping to bring about organizational change at MSK, he was interviewed for the annual report and he shared his views on diversity and inclusion.
